BookClub Structure

In the first session, children have a set of book titles to choose from and as a group they select one book.

They make a schedule and decide to meet once or twice a week at a certain time.

Based on this, recurring play dates can be created for the book club.

Each week, children independently read a portion of the book/entire book based on their grade level and schedules, and come back to the next play date to discuss with their group.

They each narrate their own version of the story and understand others’ perspectives as well.

Children develop richer understanding of the topics and characters in the book.
